1 Mix components thoroughly. Distribute medium into culture vessels under a stream of H2-CO2 (80:20, v/v) gas mixture, seal with butyl rubber stoppers and autoclave. After cooling, add per liter the following solutions (filter-sterilized):
Trace elements solution 10.0 ml - -
Vitamin solution 10.0 ml - -
2 Prior to inoculation, reduce the medium by the addition of the following solution (per liter, autoclaved and stored under a N2 atmosphere):
L-Cysteine HCl x H2O

1 Dissolve nitrilotriacetic acid and adjust pH to 6.5 with KOH. Then proceed to add minerals. Adjust final pH to 7.0.
2 Comment: Incubate with a 10 to 20% inoculum.
