## Main sol. 1080

17	g	PPLO broth	
100	ml	Yeast extract (pH 7.0, autoclaved, 25%)	
20	ml	Phenol red (pH 7.0, autoclaved, 1%)	
670	ml	Distilled water	
210	ml	**Sterile supplement**	

1. Add all components except sterile supplement; adjust pH to 7.2 + 0.2. Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes; add aseptically sterile supplement.


## Sterile supplement

10	ml	**Arginine solution 50%(w/v)**	
200	ml	Horse serum	
1	g	Ampicillin	

1. Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.


## Arginine solution 50%(w/v)

50	g	L-Arginine x HCl	
100	ml	Distilled water	

1. 50 g L-Arginine hydrochloride plus distilled water to make up to 100 ml.
