# 1183a: Salinarimonas Medium

0.3	g	KCl	
0.3	g	NH4Cl	
2	g	MgSO4	
15	g	NaCl	
1	g	Sodium succinate	
1	g	Na acetate	
1	g	Yeast extract	
0.5	g	Bacto peptone	
2	ml	**Trace elements solution**	
2	ml	**Vitamin solution**	
1000	ml	Distilled water	

1. pH is about 5.9 before autoclaving.
2. Add to the autoclaved medium the following, from sterile stock solutions 

3	ml	K2HPO4 (10%)	
5	ml	NaHCO3 (10%)	
0.5	ml	CaCl2 (10%)	

3. The pH of the final medium should be 8.0-8.5.


## Vitamin solution

400	mg	Nicotinic acid	
400	mg	Thiamine	
80	mg	Biotin	
0.5	mg	Vitamin B12	
1000	ml	Distilled water	

1. Filter sterilise


## Trace elements solution

300	mg	FeSO4 x 7 H2O	
5	mg	ZnSO4 x 7 H2O	
3	mg	MnCl2 x 4 H2O	
2	mg	H3BO3	
1	mg	CoCl2 x 6 H2O	
2	mg	CuCl2 x 2 H2O	
3	mg	NiCl2 x 6 H2O	
3	mg	Na2MoO4 x 2 H2O	
1000	ml	Distilled water	

1. Adjust the pH to 3.0 with HCl and filter sterilise, store at 4°C.
