0.15	g	CaCl2 x 2 H2O	
1	g	MgSO4 x 7 H2O	
3	g	Sorbitol	
1	ml	**Trace element solution SL-8**	
1	ml	Vitamin B12 (20mg/l)	
1000	ml	Distilled water	

1. Prepare the medium under a nitrogen atmosphere, dispense into tubes or bottles fitted with rubber stoppers so that they are half full. Add the vitamin B12 from a filter-sterilised stock solution. Either sorbitol or sodium pyruvate may serve as the carbon source. The final pH of the medium should be 6.8.

1. Adjust pH to 6.8.
