# 174: ZUELZERA MEDIUM


## Main sol. 174

5	g	D-Glucose	
2	g	Yeast extract (OXOID)	
2	g	Peptone (BD BACTO)	
0.5	ml	Sodium resazurin (0.1% w/v)	
0.5	g	Na-thioglycolate	
10	g	Agar, for stabs (optional)	
1000	ml	Distilled water	

1. Dissolve ingredients, adjust pH to 7.6 with KOH and sparge medium with 100% N2 gas for 30 - 45 min to make it anoxic. Distribute medium under same gas atmosphere into anoxic Hungate-type tubes or serum vials and autoclave.
2. For stabs add 10.0 g/l agar.
