0.2	g	Yeast extract (Difco)	
0.02	g	Na-acetate	
15	g	Agar (Difco), if required	
1000	ml	**Artificial sea water**	

1. Adjust pH to 7.2.
2. If natural sea water is used, the pH need not be adjusted.


## Artificial sea water

24.7	g	NaCl	
0.7	g	KCl	
6.3	g	MgSO4 x 7 H2O	
4.6	g	MgCl2 x 6 H2O	
1.3	g	CaCl2 x 2 H2O	
0.2	g	NaHCO3	
1000	ml	Distilled water	

1. To prevent precipitation, CaCl2 and NaHCO3 are autoclaved each as separate stock solutions in 10 ml distilled water.
