5	g	Yeast extract (OXOID)	
10	g	Tryptone (BD Bacto)	
0.5	ml	Sodium resazurin (0.1% w/v)	
5.3	g	Na2CO3	
3	g	D-Glucose	
0.2	g	L-Cysteine HCl x H2O	
0.2	g	Na2S x 9 H2O	
1000	ml	Distilled water	

1. Dissolve ingredients (except carbonate, glucose, cysteine and sulfide) and sparge medium with 100% N2 gas for 30 - 45 min to make it anoxic. Add and dissolve carbonate, dispense medium under 100% N2 gas atmosphere into anoxic Hungate-type tubes or serum vials and autoclave. Before use add glucose, cysteine and sulfide from sterile anoxic stock solutions prepared under 100% N2 gas and adjust pH to 10 by adding sterile anoxic 3 N NaOH.
