# 687: COLUMBIA BLOOD AGAR


## Main sol. 687

44	g	**Columbia Blood Agar Base**	
1000	ml	Deionized water	
5	%	Defibrinated Blood (sterile)	

1. Suspend 44 g Columbia Blood Agar Base in 1l deionized water. Heat to boiling to dissolve completely.
2. Sterilize in autoclave for 15 min at 121°C.
3. Cool to 45°C. Add 5% sterile defibrinated blood and mix well.
