# J1291: GS2 MEDIUM WITH CELLOBIOSE


## Main sol. J1291

1. Mix components thoroughly and adjust pH to 7.2 with NaOH. Bring to a boil, then cool down and distribute into culture vessels under a N2 gas stream, seal with butyl rubber stoppers, and autoclave. After cooling, aseptically and anaerobically add the following solution (autoclaved): 

1.5	g	KH2PO4	
2.9	g	K2HPO4	
2.1	g	Urea	
10	g	MOPS	
6	g	Yeast extract	
2.9	g	Trisodium citrate x 2 H2O	
0.25	g	L-Cysteine HCl x H2O	
1	mg	Resazurin	
1000	ml	Distilled water	
10	ml	**GS2 salt solution**	
8	ml	Cellobiose (0.2 M)	


## GS2 salt solution

100	g	MgCl2 x 6 H2O	
15	g	CaCl2 x 2 H2O	
0.1	ml	FeSO4 (1.25%)	
1000	ml	Distilled water
