1000	ml	**MJ(-N) synthetic seawater**	
0.25	g	NH4Cl	

1. Mix components, adjust pH to 5.5 and autoclave. After cooling, add aseptically the following solutions (filter-sterilized): 

5	ml	NaHCO3 (8%)	
15	ml	Na2S2O3 x 5 H2O (10%)	
10	ml	**Trace vitamins**	

2. Distribute the medium into sterile culture vessels under a N2-CO2-O2 (76:19:5, v/v) gas mixture and seal with butyl rubber stoppers. Pressurize the culture vessels to 50 kPa with the same gas mixture.
