1 Adjust pH to 7.0.
Equipment needed: Filter Autoclave
1 Suspend 400 g of air-dried garden soil in 960 ml of tap water and autoclave at 121C for 1 hr. After the mixture is cooled and settled, the supernatant is decanted, filtered through paper, autoclaved, and stored at room temperature until cleared by sedimentation.
