1 Autoclave the Mineral Salts and the Carbonate Salts separately. Combine both solutions after cooling. The medium may be solidified by adding 20.0 g/l agar. The agar is added to Minerals Salts Solution and after autoclaving both the Mineral Salts Solution and the Carbonate Salts Solution are cooled to 50-55°C, mixed and poured into Petri dishes. Final pH 9.6.
