* Modification: Adjust solutions A and B to pH 7.8. Aerobic or anaerobic. For aerobic growth, nitrate and sodium sulfate may be omitted. Reactivate freeze dried cultures by incubating in 10 ml liquid medium 586 or 830 in an upright standing tube for up to 7 days
