1 Mix components and adjust pH to 6.8. Distribute the medium into culture vessels (e.g., 18 ml in 50 ml serum bottle) under a stream of a N2-CO2 (80:20, v/v) gas mixture, seal with butyl rubber stoppers and autoclave.

1 Aseptically and anaerobically combine Solutions A, B and C in the culture vessels. Then, add (per liter) the following solutions (autoclaved and stored under a N2 atmosphere):

L-Cysteine HCl x H2O
(3%) 		10 ml - -
2 Autoclave under a N2 atmosphere.
3 Comment: For strain JCM 14728, incubate with a 5% inoculum.
